The Perfect Mounting Location

January 26th, 2012

There are several factors you should take into consideration when determining the perfect mounting location for your memorial plaque. Space Available – The most visually pleasing settings have enough open mounting space for plaques to fit comfortably in the size you are considering. Visibility and Physical Access – Your plaque should be located where it gets the visibility you desire and is able to be read from the distance where most people will be viewing it. This may require a visit to the site in order to make note of the best locations. Consider whether you would like the general public to have full access to your plaque, including the ability to stand close and even touch the surface, or whether you prefer to make it visible yet inaccessible. Natural barriers such as plants or a bordered walkway may be helpful if you prefer to keep people a few feet away. If vandalism is a problem, consider deterrents like hedges of thorn-bearing bushes, or extreme measures such as an enclosed display of some kind.
